The Preserve at Lake Thomas Executive Board wants to communicate with residents and owners important information about neighborhood projects or events.
The Board would like to invite member residents to view the new mailbox. One had been installed at 21151 Preservation Drive.
On July 31st, letters from our HOA manager were sent to residents. Enclosed was mailbox installation information as well as payment coupons. The Budget Adjustment Assessment is $391.00 and is due by September 1st.
Creative Mailboxes will be in our community September 25 to 27, for new mailbox installation. See the flyer attached to your door or mailbox for your individual property's preparation requirements.
FRUIT FLY TRAPPING IN THE COMMUNITY:
We are needing to place and monitor Fruit Fly traps in trees throughout the Preserve at Lake Thomas. We generally place these traps in sites that are as unobtrusive as possible, out of the way. Fruiting trees in particular are of interest to us, though we will use any acceptable tree if none are available. Whenever a homeowner/renter stops us with questions, we are always available to explain to them exactly what we are doing. If no one is around, we are usually in and out of a trapsite after only a few minutes; we won’t be loitering. We will be driving in State of Florida white trucks with yellow government tags and only operate during daylight hours, typically Monday – Friday. We’d generally be in the community once a month.
We are primarily monitoring for invasive and exotic pests, helping to safe guard everything from food production to the economic interests of all those involved in Florida Agriculture. As our communities grow and housing developments come in, more people from all over the world move into gated areas such as these, and it is critical that we have a presence in these areas to monitor for pests that might be inadvertently brought in. Such a monitoring program can potentially allow us to find new pests before they get established. We have access to many such communities already in Pasco and are asking for your assistance in gaining access to yours, whether that’s with a bar code or gate code or whatever is most convenient to grant us regular access. I can have someone pick up a physical bar code or if there is a master vendor code that will gain us access that would be most helpful (similar to what the delivery drivers, waste disposal drivers, etc. use to gain access.) There are no costs, fees, etc. for these services as it is already paid for through government taxes; we just need your help in getting in.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions via email/phone or check out our website at fdacs.gov. You can also reach out to my supervisor, Daniel Merced 352-206-5259, for any additional questions. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
