Play Sets, Structures, Swings and Portable Basketball Hoops
PLAY SETS, PLAY STRUCTURES, SWINGS, SPORTS & PLAY EQUIPMENT RULES (Approved 13 April 2019)
In accordance with SECTION 19, ARTICLE VI, of the Declaration of Easements, Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for The Preserve at Lake Thomas, the following rules regarding play sets, play structures, swings, sports and play equipment and their use have been established for clarification.
Given residential density and small lots prevalent throughout, the size and number of play sets, play structures, swings, sports and play equipment shall be restricted, so as to exist in proper scale to lot sizes.
​PLAY SETS RULES

Play sets, play structures, swings, sports and related play equipment must be limited to residential backyard products. No commercial sets are permitted.

Play sets, play structures, sports and play equipment shall also include, but not be limited to, trampolines, soccer goals, and tetherball pole.

Play sets, play structures, swings, sports and related play equipment may only be erected and displayed within the rear yard of lots, and must be significantly concealed from street view, and view of the neighbors. Such equipment must be confined within an approved fence structure. No play sets, play structures, swings, sports and play equipment may be erected or displayed in any side or front yard.

Play sets, play structures, swings, sports and related play equipment may not exceed 12 feet in height or 15 feet in length.

Due to possible damage to trees within the subdivision, and in keeping with the nature of a preserve, tree houses, or structures attached to trees, are not permitted.
PORTABLE BASKETBALL GOAL RULES (Approved 03.09.17)

Portable basketball goals, when not in use, must be stored inside the garage, or at a location on the homeowner’s lot, so that it is not visible from the street. They cannot be stored in the driveway, or otherwise remain in the driveway.

Portable basketball goals can be placed on the driveway, only when in use.
